Same model across all four paid editions: Select costs 25% of the license price per year. Lock in the 3-year plan at 50% of license total (instead of 75% paying yearly) to save a third on premium support and the major-version upgrade entitlement.

Common questions about PA Select

Are there long-term PowerArchiver Select plans?

Yes — a 3-year plan with a significant discount. Paying yearly costs 25% of license × 3 years = 75% of license. The 3-year plan locks in 50% of license for the same coverage — saves a third (33%) versus the yearly cadence. On Business: £8.98 for 3 years on the 3-year plan vs paying 25% × 3 yrs (75% of license) on the yearly cadence. On Professional Toolbox: £20.98 vs the yearly equivalent. Same math across every edition.

Can I add Select later, after I've already bought the license?

Yes. Select is sold both as a checkout add-on with a new license and as a standalone purchase against an existing license. Contact sales with your license details if you want to add Select after the initial purchase, or wait until the next renewal cycle. The pricing is the same either way — 25%/yr or 50% for the 3-year plan.

What happens when my Select term expires?

Your Select benefits stop on expiry. We email near term-end — no auto-renewal — so you can decide.

Within the 30-day grace period: renew at the standard active rates (25%/yr or 50% for 3 years) — same good pricing as if you'd never lapsed. Past 30 days: lapsed-reactivation is available at 50% of license for 1 year or 75% of license for 3 years — a premium over the active rate, but still a significant discount versus re-purchasing the license fresh when the next major version ships. The door's never closed.

Do volume / Enterprise orders include Select?

Select is a per-seat add-on at the same 25%/yr or 50%-for-3-years model regardless of order size. For Enterprise (per-seat £49.95) and Enterprise Unlimited deployments, Select math applies to the negotiated per-seat price; the 3-year plan typically makes the most sense at scale. Talk to sales for a volume or Unlimited Select quote.

Does Select cover compliance documentation (FIPS / HIPAA / DFARS)?

Compliance features (FIPS 140-2 validated encryption, HIPAA validation, DFARS-trusted encryption) live in PowerArchiver Enterprise — they're feature-gated, not Select-gated. Select adds premium support on top of any edition; Enterprise is where the compliance certifications and IT-control features live. Government / healthcare / financial / defense buyers typically buy Enterprise + Select together.
