We have just released PowerArchiver 2011 RC4 12.00.49. We have been working on this release for last 40 days and it adds FIPS 140.2 certification to PowerArchiver 2011 ZIP and ZIPX AES encryption as well as data transfer via SFTP and FTP/SSL.
List of changes:
- FIPS 140.2 certified ZIP/ZIPX AES encryption.
- FIPS 140.2 certified data transfer via SFTP/FTP/SSL
- Compatibility with ZIP and ZIPX archives that have been encrypted/signed with digital certificates.
- Compatibility with ZIP, ZIPX archives that have been encrypted with other non AES methods such as 3DES.
- Support for .GZ and .XZ single files (without TAR).
- Added Backup to Pro license.
- Compatibility with latest PAOP 2.10.05.
- Improved adding multiple files/folders to ISO via shell.
- Various smaller improvements and fixes.
With this latest release, PowerArchiver becomes the most compatible compression utility. PowerArchiver 2011 is only application that is fully compatible with all new ZIPX compression methods as well as all various encryption methods that are used in PkWare’s SecureZIP.
