PACL has been in testing since last year, and this is first &#8220;official&#8221; release. PACL 6.0 brings many improvements to PACL, including our brand new multicore ZIP\/ZIPX engine and full 7-Zip support. Here is full list of changes from version 4.xx:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PACOMP.EXE:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>New ZIP engine (requires PACLIB.DLL)\n<ul>\n<li>support for large ZIP (over 4 GB).<\/li>\n<li>support for PPMd, WavPack, BZIP2, LZMA compression methods.<\/li>\n<li>support for Unicode archives (both archives and files inside).<\/li>\n<li>support for multicore compression (ZIP Deflate and ZIP LZMA).<\/li>\n<li>New switches:\n<ul>\n<li>unicode : parameters and output are in unicode format.<br \/>\n(PACOMPU.EXE removed from distribution)<\/li>\n<li>0\u00a0: start as low priority process.<\/li>\n<li>c\u00a0\u00a0: added new compression methods for ZIP.<\/li>\n<li>o\u00a0: force Unicode saving of filenames.<\/li>\n<li>u, h : update and freshen actions for ZIP archives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/beta.powerarchiver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/pacl601.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-322\" title=\"PACL6\" src=\"http:\/\/beta.powerarchiver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/pacl601.jpg\" alt=\"PA Command Line 6 is here\" width=\"411\" height=\"212\" \/><\/a>PAEXT.EXE<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>New ZIP engine (required PACLIB.DLL)\n<ul>\n<li>support for large ZIP (over 4 GB).<\/li>\n<li>support for JPEG, PPMd, WavPack, BZIP2, LZMA decompression.<\/li>\n<li>support for decrypting PKAES and WZAES encrypted files.<\/li>\n<li>support<\/li>\n<li>for Unicode archives (both archives and files inside).<\/li>\n<li>New UnRar engine with up to 30% faster uncompression.<\/li>\n<li>New switches:\n<ul>\n<li>unicode \u00a0: parameters and output are in unicode format,\u00a0(PAEXTU.EXE removed from distribution)<\/li>\n<li>0\u00a0: start as low priority\u00a0process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>PAENCODE.EXE<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>New switches:\n<ul>\n<li>unicode : parameters and output are in unicode format.<br \/>\n(PAENCODEU.EXE removed from distribution)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>PACL 6.00 is free upgrade to: all personal PA users, PA business license users with current license and all PACL 4.x users that purchased in past 2 years.
