For data storage and exchange, we use ZIP AES (public and open data standard) and for transport we use secure ftp client (both SFTP and FTP over SSL, both public transport standards). Both solutions are FIPS 140-2 certified and satisfy all legal requirements for open data storage and transport as well as data protection standards.

More about FIPS 140-2 standard

Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 (FIPS 140-2) is entitled “Security Requirements for Cryptographic Modules.” It’s a standard that describes government requirements that hardware and software products should meet for Sensitive but Unclassified (SBU) use. The standard was published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has been adopted by the Canadian government’s Communications Security Establishment (CSE), and is being adopted by the financial community through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

FIPS 140-2 requires federal government agencies that use cryptographic-based security systems to protect sensitive information to comply with the standards. Any organisation that does any kind of business with any government agency is also required to comply with the standards.

More about White House Exective order on open data storage

To promote continued job growth, Government efficiency, and
the social good that can be gained from opening Government data
to the public, the default state of new and modernized
Government information resources shall be open and machine

the data easy to find, accessible, and usable. In making this
the new default state, executive departments and agencies
(agencies) shall ensure that they safeguard individual privacy,

Dear users,

With coming Windows 8 official release, here is the new release of PowerArchiver 2012. Last week it came to our attention that Windows 8 does not play well with Kol, language we used to create PA Starter – our Queue worker app, so not to leave you stranded, we went on and created new PA Starter from grounds up in Delphi XE2 instead of Kol.

We used Kol for its memory advantages when we created PA Starter long time ago, so it was time to bring it back to modern world. New PA Starter looks good and this will lead to some improvements later on, such as ability to schedule Patchbeam updates in the background (if selected by you). So please check out this release and confirm that it all works beautifully on your side!

As changes are strictly for Windows 8 users, this version will not go up via Patchbeam until next week’s release!

Changes from 13.01.04 to 13.02.02:

Completely new PA Starter – PA Starter built from grounds up for better Windows 8 performance.

After your feedback, here is the new version of Zip to Email, your best option for zipping and encrypting your attachments .

What is Zip To Email? As the name suggests, Zip To Email would like to be the best application to handle your email attachments.
It is extremely powerful and probably by far the most powerful application of its kind, but at the same time, it can be configured to be completely automated and out of users way. So administrators can adjust it to their needs with the use of GPO’s and end users pretty much dont even know that it is there. Please check out chart on the right side to see possible usage scenarios for Zip To Email.

Changes from BETA 1 to BETA 2:

Better compatibility with PA- Better compatibility between ZTE and PA installations.

SSL certificates can not be selected – Fixed problem with SSL certificates and their selections.

Configuration/Option Tab in Outlook 32/64bit – Fixed problem with configuration tab under Office 2010 32/64bit

Help page being sent twice – Fixed problem with help page being sent twice under certain scenarios.
