Tar.gz in command line

Hello!

I cannot seem to find how to make a tar.gz using command line arguments.

Help please!

PACOMP uses the archive extension to determine format. So
PACOMP -a archive.tar.gz *.doc
or
PACOMP -a archive.tar.gz @myfiles.txt
or
PACOMP -a archive.tar.bz2 *.doc

etc.
