Encryption

Is using the PAE format the strongest/best for encryption?

I was wondering what makes it any better? Also does PAE support the FIPS 140.2 certification, or is that just for the ZIP AES?

Err, not sure about PAE but WinZip AES isn't certified - http://kb.winzip.com/kb/entry/65/

However, PA 12 does claim both FIPS 140.2 and HIPPA compliance.

Hi,

ZIP AES is FIPS 140-2 certified. There is no difference in encryption strength when it comes to AES, it is always same AES standard.
