Battlefield 3!

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone will be buying the Battlefield 3 game and if so why and what console?

I personally, have a major interest in BF3 and have played BF2 since I found out about its dynamic enviroment and 95% destructable Frostbite system.

However, I am a PS3 owner! but might have to build a PC if this game is as good as the 55 awards say it is!!

For those who are interested in the game and own a PS3 my Sign in is: OmegaParticle

Feel free to add me, just let me know who you are in the subjec or put "BF3 - Team Request".

Not me.

I got bored of FPS type games years ago. Can't believe they still sell as well as they do to be honest.

Maybe I'm getting old.

LoL, to some part i agree with you. Esspecially with games like COD where by year after year they bring out the same gameplay but nothing else different. Just run around shooting..

But Battlefield is different, you can actually take command of a team, pilot Aircraft, tanks and UAV's. Buildings are destructable so if you have a group of guys hiding in a building shooting out the window's and you cant get near it with your troops then you can take it out with missile launchers or heavy artilary.

And like all enviroments if you take that one building down it could in some way's effects the outcome of the game.

The maps are hugh! and you can depending on skill push people back into the map, or hold of a hill top etc.

Completely different skillset to cod where the enviroment you play in is restricted and fixed.

But Battlefield is different,
I have seen plenty footage of it and read enough about it to know that it is an improvement on other FPS's I won't deny that. But I just sort of go meh! when I see another FPS getting released. Used to love them but not any more, just can''t summon up an ounce of excitement about them these days.

I only have a laptop 2 years old. I doubt it could run BF3 as its GPU isnt really a gaming quality card.

But I have thought about buying or building myself a new PC based on the Maximim requirements of BF3.

Luxor, i can see exactly where you are coming from! maybe oneday you will be brought back to the world of FPS.

Untill then... i shall play for you ;o)

So the newspapers are correct with their assumption that violent games make people violent.

Listen you guys, i started this thread to talk about a game, the fact remains you started the debate about age

So dont try and throw this "age" debate on me!

"Bloody old people.. always blaiming the young for their problems.." Oopps again.
