Usage statistics
Just realised that my installation of Free PA did not ask about sending usage statistics - because I had not activated it (sorry)
![]() However, when you manually run "check for updates", you are presented with the usage request with just a Yes/No button. Even though I know this stuff - it confused me for a moment as I got the impression this was a requirement for the update check. Perhaps it could be made clearer that the update does NOT depend on agreeing to sending the statistics when that dialogue is presented?

keep in mind that even if someone clicks Yes by mistake, thats why we left the checkbox there in update so people can always easily take it out, and not have to search in the options for it.

I know. My point was the reverse.
If the first time someone sees the dialogue is after clicking "check for updates" they could get the (incorrect) impression that there is an inter-dependence - i.e. clicking "NO" would prevent the update check.

yeah, but they cant be wrong... even if they do something that they didnt want, next screen has that checkbox that they can easily uncheck/check... so no need to over-complicate it... imho.
