Maximum File Size 4.5gb

I want the maximum file size of the archive to be 4.5gb. Then span to another file if needed. I am running the following:

pacomp -m -c1 -w -v4500M c:\to_burn\ArchiveSink.zip "c:\temp\*.*"

It doesn't create any file with the -v4500M switch. If I take it out, it works fine. I am sure I am not doing something right. Would you please tell me where my context is wrong.
