Cancelling extraction

Why is it when I try to cancel the extraction of a pae file does it insist on continuing reading until the end of the compressed file before stopping?
it can become a lengthy task when dealing with large files.

I realise this may not have been addressed yet as it is still the same in 11.60.15 but might I ask a question in regards to the actual mechanics of decrypting a file.
why is it when you give it an incorrect password does it insist on examining the whole file which in my case can contain many many large psd files only to then report to you some 5 or 10 minutes later that you've provided the wrong password?
I deliberately gave it the wrong password to test such a scenario but it's just way to slow to confirm it's findings.
I realise that psd files are larger but testing it on the Windows 7 64bit system it just seems painfully slow to respond to either an incorrect password or just a simple reading and extraction.

what everyone wants is when you press cancel it simply terminates the extraction, should be very easy to sort out. when will a ficx be avaliable?

for maximum security, we did not want to provide crc of password in plain sight - which means files needs to be extracted first to confirm password is ok.

regardless of security then is it still not possible for the 'cancelling' of an extraction to respond much faster than it does at present?
I'm assuming my scenario may be a rare case whereby I deal with large volumes of psd files but at present on this OS it's very slow indeed.
maybe I need to create smaller volumes so as to reduce load on PA.

yes, thats completly different (cancelling)... devs did not get around to it yet.

you can also re-encrypt files to zip or 7zip aes which will work better in this case, since PA 2009 (i think). Encrypt tool does re-compression of other archives to zip/7zip AES (if you set it so).
