Option to add the date to the archive name in PACOMP ?

I couldn't find this option, so if it exists, please correct me But it would be great to have an option as in the WinRAR command line utility to add the date to the archive file name. For example :
pacomp -a -dyyyymmdd test.zip test.txt
would create a file called 20040917test.zip.

It's really useful in the case of automatic daily backup.

batch file to include the date in zip file name

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but i've found it to be pretty money to my backups. WinXP command line

@echo off

echo "z:\lawoffice\* --> c:\backup\lawoffice_(date).zip"
echo excluding: jpg, zip, pdf, tif, c:\lawoffice\clients\*

FOR /F "tokens=1-4 delims=/ " %%I IN ('DATE /t') DO SET mydate=%%L-%%J-%%K

PATH "C:\backup\bin"
pacomp -P -r -c2 -x@mab_noLawoffice.txt "c:\backup\lawoffice_%mydate%.zip" "z:\law office\*.*"

echo all done!

Yes I'm already doing something like that, but it would be easier just to have this option implement in pacomp Thx anyway

Unfortunately the same obscure code as yours I found it on the Internet, and I don't like it, but I don't think we have the choice
