Why in settings absent ultra 7 zip compression?

On modern PC 2-4GB or more RAM...800 MB is not really problem.
And if it text document with PA smart option it would use in common cases PPMD with ~200MB

It is for my system. They need to use a standard as most internet providers like bt in the uk only allow 20mb max of attachments. So what is the need for this on outlook attachments.
To think about I have to confess i only have 320mb of ram and a large virtual memory file, as my computer is a dell 10 yes old and still working, on a windows 2000 system. That is the average for most computers in developing worlds and people who can't afford to get a new one yet. |

The 800 MB is required ram use to perform the compression (7zip) - not the size of the resulting email attachment(s).

in most cases difference is minimal on small files, and hence there is no need for it in email client.
Unless people start sending emails which are several hundred MB in size, which is unlikely.
