PPMD 7zip

I have installed PA 2006 beta 6 and noticed that there is now support for PPMD compression. My qyestion is, when I enable this option, will PA force PPMD compression, or will they only be used on text files and other files are not compressed using PPMD?

Also, if I always have this option enabled, is compression going to be improved than if this option was off?

it will force it, as option text suggest, it is useful for compressing text files/documents since it achieves the best compression there (better than standard LZMA in 7z).
