Anyway, I think software could be protected in a less bothersome way, like in-product-activation online for example. I have software pieces on my machine that have seen several major updates over the years, and I just need my original order number to re-activate it.
And your support team would be relieved of all those "my license doesn't work" type of emails too.
Sorry for my temper, it's late at night here and the day was a bit too long

this is what usually happens :-). We completely understand it though.
Reason it says Pro Legacy is that Pro has less features now, but since you purchased it before we give you features than new Pro versions dont have.
Online activation wouldnt be possible because of several factors, one of them being the fact that you are likely to use PA on not-connected computer and then it would suck :-). Plus you would still have to enter some kind of license. And we have people using PA since 2001, so cost of providing free updates would go up if we had to provide online servers for activation for 20 year period, all for the one-time price. It is very different with Antivirus as they charge per year.
We always try to improve the process but there is always going to be someone that does it too fast and doesnt copy the code properly, and who has time to read all those messages, right? :-). Which is why we try to be patient when someone yells at us... not many do actually!
I hope you enjoy improvements in new PA 2012.
thanks!
