ok ... now I've calmed down a bit. The registration was successful, I was just surprised that I needed to enter a serial clearly marked as legacy for a current product version. As I see people struggling here ... apparently what's going on is the label had been printed and the tin isn't ready yet
Anyway, I think software could be protected in a less bothersome way, like in-product-activation online for example. I have software pieces on my machine that have seen several major updates over the years, and I just need my original order number to re-activate it.
And your support team would be relieved of all those "my license doesn't work" type of emails too.
